So here we are, Teddy's new BFFS Jackie and Sarah meet Teddy for the first - here is how we survived our day with Teddy and what we learnt!
First we navigated our way here through the deepest, darkest Kent into Hove and leaving our busy bubble behind to get to Baby Bubble! Paul was of course the most excited for our trip he was texting us along the way to find out how long we would be, of course we missed the texts as we were so engrossed with our weekly gossip catch up. On arrival, Paul greeted us with compliments, smiles and orange squash whilst Teddy was all smiles about his new potential BFFs!
In the first hour of Sarah, Jackie & Teddy time we fed him, showered him in presents and when Daddy Paul left the room he was all smiles and when Daddy Paul came back he then started crying for the first time! This was Teddy's reaction to his own teddy present:
After 20 minutes of packing (including his new bib presents and the actual Teddy) and deliberating what to take we were ready to hit the road and meet Mummy Lucy at the steakhouse (where Daddy Paul told us he takes all of his female guests so potentially he has a reputation!). We hit the road with Disney singalong blaring away (any excuse for some Disney!) and Teddy was quite content with 'Colors of the Wind' from Pocahontas.
Whilst we tucked into our big steaks Baby Teddy wanted his 100th bottle of the day - where does he put it all?! Mummy Lucy questioned the number of bottles given today already several times and Daddy Paul gave lots of different answers - we are still trying to work out how many he has actually had (and why Daddy Paul thought it was appropriate to only bring 1 muslin). Teddy was so drunk on milk he slept like a baby (excuse the pun!) whilst Sarah, Jax, Mummy and Daddy caught up and put the worlds to rights! Bananas were a key topic - would Teddy side with Sarah or Jackie on Banana vs Sticky Toffee pudding?
On finishing our starter, main AND desserts of course a SELFIE who compulsory as Teddy INSISTED a photo with his new friends:
Then it was time to separate Daddy Paul and Teddy as Teddy was insistent on staying with his new BFFs and Mummy Lucy whilst Daddy Paul did the father duties of going to buy some baby essentials. Whilst Sarah and Mummy Lucy were talking adults things, Teddy and Jackie were having an intellectual conversation about baby stuff and we got a few smiles along the way:
